Disney already said they won't mess with 1313, and it's due out next year so I doubt there would even be much for them to alter before release anyway.
That article you linked to nailed it though, since the point and click adventure LA hasn't been worth a dime so I really don't care that much. Even our beloved JK games weren't developed by them. (Ravensoft) Neither were Battlefront I & II (Pandemic) or KOTOR (BioWare) - the only good game they've developed that I can even think of off the top of my head is Republic Commando.
If LucasArts went away forever, I wouldn't really be that upset because all they do now is market and distribute other people's games or make their own terrible, shitty games. There will always be developers to make Star Wars games and I couldn't give two damns about whether or not they're published by LucasArts or Disney Interactive.

I lost all respect for Lucasarts a long time ago. Probably around the time they decided to make the 50th Lego Star Wars game instead of a Republic Commando/reborn boss Knight sequel.
