I don't think we've ever referred to the individual in question as a veteran.

I think of veterans as pre-rS players at this point.

I'm 100% sure I've seen him be accused of being "a veteran pretending to be new" at least 3 different times.

Oh, well yeah, referring to him as a "veteran pretending to be new" is different than outright calling his current alias a veteran though. He's still a noob.

I think the definitions depend on when you start playing. ie: Late 2005 for me, and I consider myself "old school." but I know that there are countless people who would want to slap me in the face for calling myself old school.
