yeah it's happened to me before, trying to place mines and then somebody walks past and accuses me of spamming. golan, well, yeah, what mike said, cant control where they go really.

what i think is midget mine spamming is when the guy is actually facing the door directly and chucking mines. if hes like throwing from side, 2 mines, then i dont really call it spam, however thats stil pretty grey...

Maybe I just have an "eye" for it, but it's always been easy to me to tell the difference between someone trying to place some last-second mines and accidentally tripping someone vs. someone with the full-blown mine-waterfall cascade effect. To me, that should be enforceable at chokepoints.

This might not be a terrible idea. It's not something we see a LOT of, but it can be agitating. IMO it deserves it's on rule, because it completely defeats the spawntimer which is a fundamental component of the entire gametype.

I am in discussion with Kera about fixing this entirely in Tempest/Impulse, but if it cannot be done then I will start a thread sometime next week where we can decide the specifics of this rule.

Usually i can tell if ots a cascade of mines or just simply mines placed there last second or before. Usually mines placed last minute or previously the offender will see one explosion. Now if mines are continously raining down from a location the offender will see many explosions right after the other. And golan spam is quite easy to detect. Golan balls will just continously be thrown at door witout end.

How hard would it be to open the side route at the hangar....the one that the defense uses to get there on objective?

Something server-side only, obviously....prob not possible, huh?

Not that hard if you get a noob defender to lead you through their spawn.

Just one further clarification to KA authority. Whilst KA's don't have the /amban command, when we see deliberate laming (a bannable offence) as per the Tempest rules thread, are we allowed to continuously kick or is it one kick per offence.

Addendum i think you should add a little paragraph on spawn laming in the rule book as well.....

I would kick them once per offense. Like, kick them: if they come back and do it again, feel free to kick them again. If they come back and do it a third time, kick 'em.. If they come back and do it AGAIN, I would say you could probably continuously kick them (Though I'd OK that with Guard.)

You can always find a council admin too. I'm usually on xfire, Mike is usually around too, Archi is online pretty frequently, and Guard is to a lesser extent.
