I don't mean to disrespect servicemembers and their contributions, and I'm sure there's Army people that have been through much more than me. I'm mostly speaking with a bias towards army ROTC people. I got to see them firsthand while in navy ROTC w/marines and I have to say they were scrubs.

Ya, sad I have to agree with kera on this one, but my dad did a tour in 'Nam from 68-71 due to the draft and was fairly-well decorated. He didn't want to be there, but he did what his country required.

Why don't you save your ignorant comments until you actually see some real combat.

Tensor, I played DE, TE, and SpecTeams....Led the team in tackles just from the kick-offs....usually around the 5-10 yard line.

Still don't think that you can really compare the mental aspects of any major sport, though....A center in hockey is pretty much a quarterback....Wayne Gretzky ur?....Nobody gets that many assists without knowing how to pass.

It's really an endless debate and I give props to dudes like Reggie White (RIP), etc...

In other news, are you guys like, completely oblivious to interservice rivalry? Have you never heard of the epic Army vs. Navy games? The phrase "Go Navy beat Army" and vice versa? Surely a lot of you must have, since you just LOVE american football and all. Otherwise you ain't seen shit.

I mean I wouldn't know ANYTHING about the military at all of course, because I'm ignorant right? I didn't grow up in that environment at all, right? And of course I didn't grow up with my dad being away while he was literally saving the lives of motherfucking ASTRONAUTS in the fucking ocean. Or, on the other end of the spectrum, medically treating people in Guantanamo Bay, many of which really just wanted to get pregnant in the hopes of passage to the U.S. ...

Except you missed the point of their comments. Because you have never experienced first hand what some Army guys have gone through (combat), you don't really have the right to call them all pussies.

Rivalry or not, you could really offend some people with relatives or friends they care(d) about in the Army.

Haven't you been trying to get a job in the chairforce for awhile now? The other branches laugh at the chairforce and call them pussies. Their basic is a joke, all they do is fold clothes and do hardly any PT.

Army is infantry and go through a hell of a lot more than the navy ever will (unless your a navy seal or possibly a combat medic). Navy is far from it. Why do you think everyone wants to jump into the AF and Navy when they join the service? Cause they'd rather be stationed at a base doing nothing or stationed on a boat doing nothing. And you say Army ROTC/Basic is a joke but the order from hardest to easiest basic goes Marines > Army/Coast Guard > Navy > Air Force.
