I'm still deciding my opinion on it, I have been on both sides plenty, so I know both the frustration of reaching a lift that has been called up and watching the entire enemy team spawn right next to you, and I know that accidents do happen (your jan with +yews example being the most prominent that happens to me quite a bit actually when I am knocked back).
I'm leaning towards this not really being enforced though. I think it might be a little too strict to enforce punishment regardless of circumstances, especially since siege has gotten along so long without any rules regarding this, and there have been plenty of victories for the offense even when TOP TIER players do it. (GT vs TD being the most prominent example, when the term demoning it was created).
And you also have to take into consideration the people that do it most, like for example, kera isn't actually going to let people punish him/self punish, and if he is vote kicked he might just crash the server, thus ending the pug. So is it worth it to try and punish lift lamers and sacrifice a perfectly good pug? Is winning really that important?
