Jar File Saved as a WinRAR File

Postby jamesvince4231 on Thu Jun 12, 2025 12:46 pm

Jar File Saved as a WinRAR File is the most common error for users. It is due to file association in Windows with archive-type extensions.

To fix it:

Right-click the jar file, then go to Open with and select the Java™ Platform SE binary.
“Always yews this app.” Set this option permanently.
If Java is not available on your device and then download it from its official Oracle website.
This doesn’t affect the actual file — it just changes how your system opens it.Softwaresfiles
