Some cats can't stay indoors all the time without getting depressed. They just need to roam and explore.

You're really not supposed to let a cat just wander around unsupervised, it's really really bad and dangerous for them, but most people don't really educate themselves about pet care before purchasing a pet.

I don't think most people just "don't care" so much as they don't know, but there certainly are some scumbag pet owners out there. I have some pretty awful stories about cats being left out all winter and coughing up blood on cars, or ending up washed up in a storm drain, from back when I lived in an apartment building. LOT of scumbag pet owners there.

One thing I don't understand is why people let their cats just roam around outside. In my neighborhood there's all these fucking cats crossing the street and wandering around into different backyards and driveways. Aren't they worried about what might happen to their cat?

My cat used to disappear into the neighborhood for days or weeks on occasion. She always came back.

You never worried what might have happened to her? Do all owners just let their cats roam free?

Well my parents make her live in the garage (never let her in the house ), so every now and then she'd sneak out for a little bit. She doesn't really do it anymore though, especially not in these cold Wisconsin winters.

Interesting. The reason I ask all this is because I found a dead cat on my lawn once and no neighbors ever came asking about their missing cat or anything...ever. It felt like no one cared about it.

I personally believe only girls let little things like "how polite is the person criticizing me being?" get in the way of improving myself. If I'm making mistakes, and someone's explaining that mistake to me, I don't care how many times they tell me I suck or call me a fucking idiot, I'm going to listen until I get it.

I realize some people are little girls who like to wear dresses and sip from tea cups with their pinkies out or whatever, so I guess for them it makes sense to be polite or whatever. I just don't see the point in ignoring good advice because someone doesn't respect me. Respect should be earned, and you don't earn it by sucking.
