I started off when the game first came out, fresh off of JO. I regulalry went back to outcast, both MP and SP during this time. Due to my sparse internet availability, I didn't play online. So basically, I could yews the base SP game, or run around aimlessly killing base bots on base maps. Then came my first laptop. It was a hand-me-down from my dad, and with it came a wireless system. I soon discovered that my dad hacked our neighbor's wireless. Then I discovered FREE INTERNET!. With this blessing came access to 3 main things: JA online, JA mods, and porn.
Henceforth, I was online in JA. JO was dropped by this point. I think I played 1 or 2 seige games, but stuck on random ffa servers. I sucked. My saber skills were naught, and if I could find a server with guns (God forbid someone uses a rifle in ffa
I played often (at least an hour every day), and my skill improved at a steady pace. Then, came college. For the first 4 months, JA was dropped like a corpse. Again, I randomly found it and started playing again. Soon thereafter came the fall of [lick], and I was now without a regular server. I remember hearing some members bitch about what was happening in the clan, then the server was just gone the next day. I bounced around, and I could, as mb2 was not even an idea, and base map servers were everywhere. Eventually, I found a server I kept coming back to - Tempest. Dunno exactly why, but it seemed like a highly competative atmosphere, yet close and freindly. From that day forth, I have not played on a non-*rS! siege server (aside from 2 forays into mb2). I took a random break, and looked up how to mod. My first few attempts failed epicly. Later, I beacme more serious, and made a decent* reskin (released on filefront). Then, I was left without something to occupy my time. Again, siege came to the rescue. I started again, still with Tempest. I was worse than when I left off, but better than when I originally started. I have slowly built my skill back up to better than before my break. I have randomly lost skill (mostly during periods of high amounts of schoolwork or jobs), but gained it back. Finally I got the balls up to submit my *rS! application. Since then, I've played seige regularly (2-3 hours a day). I first pugged 3 days ago (or somewhere around that).
Into the future I charge, ready to take it on, and take it past my limits. And I were to fall, I plan to fall in a dying blaze of glory.
