New Laptop!

So my laptop is about to die on me, so I'm finally buying a new one (feels like just yesterday I was discussing my first laptop with you back in 06/07 turkey, jeez how time flies).
What I am most curious, is which video card is better:
ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 4570 Series graphics with 512MB VRAM available
or
NVIDIA® GeForce® 9300M GS GPU with up to 2010MB total available graphics memory
These are the two models I am choosing between, and the video card is pretty much what will determine which one I choose at this point, cause most of the other specs when maxed out are good enough for me.
Sony Z Series

Well I just read one of the reviews for the Z series that said in the bios Sony has disabled virtualization (VMware, Virtual PC, VirtualBox, etc), which I need, so I'll probably go with SR anyways.
If you want you can find out which vid card is better to satisfy my/your curiosity, but doesn't really matter at this point.

o high.
The 4570's 3dmark06 scores are more or less double what the 9300M GS is.
The video card is the hardest thing to replace (often impossible), so you're right, it should be your primary concern. If you want more RAM, HDD, or possibly even a faster CPU, those are much more easily replaceable. CPU is still tricky though.
That card does slightly worse than my 7900GS. Still good for a lot of things, like jka, kotor, the older stuff. New stuff, you might have to turn things down a couple notches.

I might buy a laptop this summer as well (for uni). My friend's mom should advise me a lot, but I guess not as much as you will. So what brand is the best/good nowadays?

I've had the best experiences with Sony. Great laptops with solid hardware, and good customer support. Don't ask those dumbasses at the Sony store anything, they are so full of shit they could be medically diagnosed as constipated. Sonys are the most expensive though =/
Toshiba I've also personally had a great experience with, but I know some people who have had terrible experiences with them. And they have shitty customer support.
Dell has that bullshit where they make sure the battery automatically dies after a few years so you have to buy a new one, and a lot of my friends have Dell's that have broken down (sorry Turkey, I know you are a Dell fan). They do have good customer support. It is my understanding that they pretty much have the best prices, and are great while they last, but 90% of them don't last very long compared to other brands =/
NEVER EVER get an HP, those things break down like an obsessive suicidal ex girlfriend, and have terrible and unstable drivers. Sadly they tend to have the most bang for your buck as far as hardware goes =/
Acers are shit, I don't know anyone who has had one that has managed to last longer than a year.
Asus I see a lot of people have, they also seem to have good prices, but I don't have any testimonials for that.
And fuck Macs. I won't even say anything about macbooks.

I like my HP....it's real solid, fast, and survived a beer bath.

Dell has excellent jan support.
One time I halfway fried my GPU from experimental overclocking. I simply called them and told them it failed a video memory diagnostic (which it did), said nothing about the OCing OR the artifacts that I got on occasion, and they came to my house less than a week later and replaced it for free.

(under warranty ofc)
