I've had the best experiences with Sony. Great laptops with solid hardware, and good customer support. Don't ask those dumbasses at the Sony store anything, they are so full of shit they could be medically diagnosed as constipated. Sonys are the most expensive though =/
Toshiba I've also personally had a great experience with, but I know some people who have had terrible experiences with them. And they have shitty customer support.
Dell has that bullshit where they make sure the battery automatically dies after a few years so you have to buy a new one, and a lot of my friends have Dell's that have broken down (sorry Turkey, I know you are a Dell fan). They do have good customer support. It is my understanding that they pretty much have the best prices, and are great while they last, but 90% of them don't last very long compared to other brands =/
NEVER EVER get an HP, those things break down like an obsessive suicidal ex girlfriend, and have terrible and unstable drivers. Sadly they tend to have the most bang for your buck as far as hardware goes =/
Acers are shit, I don't know anyone who has had one that has managed to last longer than a year.
Asus I see a lot of people have, they also seem to have good prices, but I don't have any testimonials for that.
And fuck Macs. I won't even say anything about macbooks.
