I was just about to post on this. Frankly i'm dissapointed that he sold the franchise. Star Wars was a great six movie saga. It seems whenever movies are drawn out in attempts to make money the bottom drops out. For example: Jurrassic Park, Terminator, Predator... I could go on. The original movie(s) was/were great but the minute they decided to make MORE they were awful. To be honest I won't even consider seeing it if I don't here spectacular reviews. This way my memory will always view it as the epic six movie saga.
on an unrelated note, the Illiad and the Oddessy are really long /: I have to read and summarize both for literature. Homer needed to make his poems....well less epic.

I already know I'll remember the originals as being the best/greatest. I plan on showing my future kids the originals first, and hiding the truth about the prequels from them until their older. #parentalscheming.

Yeah...I doubt they could fuck it up any worse than the prequels.
Also, Disney bought Marvel a few years ago and has done wonders with that universe in the last 5 years or so. I actually have more faith in Disney to make Star Wars awesome again than I would most other companies, and especially more so than Lucas.

They have LucasArts now too, but I read yesterday that they won't interfere with development of 1313.
I'm glad George Lucas is staying on as a guiding hand with the creative, but I'm EXTREMELY happy he won't be directing anymore. Aside from American Graffiti he has to be one of the shittiest big-name directors of all time.
Edit: Reading some theories on what the new trilogy might be, and I have to say I really hope they either do the Dark Forces/reborn boss Knight story, or Shadows of the Empire story.
Would Nathan Fillion not make the most kickass Kyle Katarn ever?
