Since I've been pre-occupied in RL for the last few months:

How is Tempest? What are the lamer levels like? Admin abuse incidents? Or has everything mostly been nice and peaceful?

My biggest complaints are:

1) Team-switchers.

I know this is a tough one to handle, but it's really amazing how many people will join and wait in spec, go spec and wait, whatever....to get on the team they want.

2) AFK noobs.

I see this a ton.....several at a time, usually. This one is easy, but I forget the CVAR.

Something like 'timeout to spec' or 'inactivity timeout'

You can set it so that if a person does no input whatsoever to the keyboard or mouse for X seconds, they get moved to spec.

As far as laming goes, it happens from time to time, but I almost never the only admin on and it gets dealt with pretty rapidly.

'Course... most of the peeps that come here regularly are probably admins....lol.

Team switchers are a pain in the arse, and it's basically always 5/20 mins on hoth.

Other than that, pretty good.

i admin abuse nabs who sk as jan on des offense then say "u mad" when i tell them to stop

ps archi etc: isn't it their own loss if they choose not to play up against the better team?

You won't learn anything from getting trounced in 5 minutes. The offense is generally two or three objectives ahead of the defense, anyway.
